I decided I did all that I need to do before final installation of the center main spar. Time to forge ahead and rivet it in.
I had about .020" gap at the center of the spar between the lower spar flange and the F08-11 main gear stiffener. I decided the gear leg was maybe bowing down in the center with the load on the wheels. I jacked the plane up in the center of the gear and the gap closed nicely. Went ahead and installed the spar to stiffener rivets. The jack is a Harbor Freight ATV/Motorcycle lift and works very well. I didn't really need all the blocks, the lift goes to 16" high. Will work great for servicing wheels/tires.
Riveted the left and right root angle brackets.
Started final assembly of the right end of the spar. I ran out of AN960-10 washers and MS24694-S54 flathead screws.
